An Urbandale woman was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly assaulting an Urbandale man in their home in front of the children.
Kelsey Morgan Bergman, 30, of 15614 Ridgemont Dr., Urbandale, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault and two counts of child endangerment.
The incident began about 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 15600 block of Ridgemont Drive, where officers of the Urbandale Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with Bergman, who told the officers that during the course of a domestic dispute with the victim, she “walked over to him and hit him a few times,” according to court records.
Bergman also said that she saw the victim’s “32 oz Yeti tumbler” and “picked it up and started to swing it at” the victim.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Bergman allegedly “started to punch him repeatedly around the head and body” and that she “picked up his 32 oz Yeti cup and struck him with it in the side,” according to court records.
Two minor children witnessed the alleged assault, according to court records.
Bergman is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 23 in Dallas County District Court.
