Storm sirens to sound Wednesday in Severe Weather Awareness Week

Perry is one of a dozen Dallas County cities that now starts sounding its outdoor emergency sirens on the occasion winds exceeding 70 mph. One of Perry’s six outdoor emergency sirens is located at the Perry Public Safety Building at 908 Willis Ave.

Perry’s storm sirens will sound at 10 a.m. Wednesday as part of the statewide tornado drill during Iowa’s Severe Weather Awareness Week 2023, marked March 27-31.
