A West Des Moines man was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting a Waukee woman in Adel.

Kyle Scot Siberz, 26, of 920 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, was charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and obstruction of emergency communications.

The incident began about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Main Street in Adel, where officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Siberz “assaulted her and threw things at her” and “pushed her against a table,” according to court records.

The victim also told the officers that Siberz “began hitting her on the side and threw something at her” and also “took her phone from her and threw it on the ground” when she said she was calling 911, according to court records.

The officers observed the victim “was actively bleeding from the top of her head,” according to court records.

Siberz is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 14 in Dallas County District Court.
