A GoFundMe page has been established for Kim Kreinbring, formerly of Perry, who passed away Friday from complications of cancer. Karin Zern of Chariton organized the fundraiser and made the following statement about Kim and her husband, Garret.
They met when they were only 18. Then life happened, as it does, and they drifted apart. Fast forward 30 years and enter Facebook! Kim contacted a friend of Garret’s to see if it was actually HIM in those photos she’d seen posted. She was thrilled to find out it was and that he lived in Iowa again. Garret was thrilled to know someone had been Facebook ‘stalking’ him and even better, that it was HER! They soon began talking daily and love bloomed again. They began their life together and soon, Garret put a ring on it. Kim, knowing her true love well, made Garret’s birthday their wedding day so there would be no forgetting! They were so happy! But sometimes when you’re happiest, life throws you a curve ball. In their case, it was cancer. Kim was a fighter and exceeded her doctor’s initial timeframe, but in the end the cancer won. We lost our beautiful friend, wife, mother, daughter and sister on April 7, 2023. Please donate to help Garret with the funeral expenses. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
