A Waukee man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Friday in connection with a March incident in which he allegedly assaulted a Waukee woman.
Khalid Wahid Cowman, 23, of 740 N.E. Horizon Dr., Waukee, was charged with domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness and probation violation.
According to court records, Cowman was allegedly “the primary aggressor” in a March 29 incident at his Waukee residence in which officers of the Waukee Police Department found Cowman’s girlfriend with “scratches on her arms and legs” and “laying on the ground outside” the residence.
A warrant for Cowman’s arrest was ordered April 10 in Dallas County District Court and served April 14. He is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
