An Urbandale woman was arrested Sunday night after she allegedly punched her mother in the face in the course of a domestic dispute.

Ashley Victoria Evans-Jimenez, 25, of 15406 Maple Dr., Urbandale, was charged Sunday with first-offense domestic abuse assault, child endangerment and charged Monday with violation of a no-contact order.

The incident began about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 15400 block of Maple Drive in Urbandale, where officers of the Urbandale Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the female victim, and the victim told the officers that Evans-Jimenez allegedly “hit her in the face with a closed fist,” leaving the victim with “a cut above her left eye,” according to court records.

Evans-Jimenez allegedly “admitted to hitting the victim in the face and stated this
was not the first time it had been physical,” according to court records.

A minor was a witness to the events.

Evans-Jimenez was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to her release on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 27 in Dallas County District Court.
