- Three vehicles were involved in a collision on I80 near the 114 mile marker. Traffic was slowing due to a lane closure on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 114 mile marker when Justin Guttormson of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, was distracted, and his vehicle struck a vehicle, driven by Spencer Katzenell of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, whose vehicle then struck a vehicle, driven by David Cox of, Wellington, Colorado. No injuries were reported. Damage to Cox’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Damage to Katzenell’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to Guttormson’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Guttormson was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
May 25, 2023
- Lakeysha Jordan of Des Moines was traveling on R Avenue near 324th Place when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Jason Neil of Grimes, that crossed the center line. No injuries were reported. Damage to Jordan’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000, and damage to Neil’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Neil was issued a citation for driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway and failure to provide proof of financial liability-accident.
