A Clive woman was arrested early Wednesday after she allegedly assaulted a Clive man in the course of a domestic dispute.
Jennifer Nicole Pechanec, 38, of 3540 Horton Circle, Clive, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Horton Circle, where officers of the Clive Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the male victim, who told the officers that an “argument occurred” and that Pechanec allegedly “did intentionally commit a domestic assault against” the victim, according to court records.
The officers observed “nail marks on” the victim’s “chest,” according to court records. Video of the incident was captured by a witness.
Pechanec is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 16 in Dallas County District Court.
