Jesse Dean Siglin, 35, of Perry was arrested Tuesday on a charge of first-degree harassment.

A Perry man was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly threatening to harm another Perry man.

Jesse Dean Siglin, 35, of 308 Lucinda St., Perry, was charged with first-degree harassment.

The incident began about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at a convenience store on First Avenue in Perry, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of “a male threatening another male with a handgun,” according to curt records.

An officer made contact with the victim, who told the officer that Siglin allegedly “threatened to shoot up his house/garage” and “threatened to burn down the garage,” according to court records.

The victim told the officer that Siglin also allegedly “asked the victim if he preferred 40 caliber or 357 magnum,” according to court records.

Siglin allegedly told an officer “that he made all three of the above comments” and “confirmed that he threatened to shoot up the garage, as well as burn it
down,” according to court records.

Siglin is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 23 in Dallas County District Court.

Siglin was convicted of third-degree harassment in 2021 in Dallas County District Court.
