Linda Pardun, 79, of Jamaica passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her home in Jamaica, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Perry, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Linda Ann Pardun was born Dec. 30, 1943, in Berwyn, Illinois, to Frank and Lydian (Tesar) Ross.

She graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois.

Linda was united in marriage to Gary Lee Pardun at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Illinois, on Jan. 18, 1964.

She worked in downtown Chicago before moving to Bouton, Iowa, and helping on the family farm. The family then moved to Jamaica, and Linda worked at the Perry Lutheran Home as a dietary manager.

She was a member of the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church.

Linda enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In death she rejoins her husband, Gary Pardun; and parents, Frank and Lydian Ross.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her sons, Mike (Nancy) Pardun of Denison, David (Tonja) Pardun of Polk City and Jeff (Angie) Pardun of Ankeny; grandchildren, Nate (Haley), Ben, Scott, Sydney, Gavin, Conner, Logan and Harper Pardun; siblings, Terry (Sharon) Ross of Washington, Illinois, Richard (Teena) Ross of Ellington, Florida, and Gail (David) Metta of Homer Glen, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Naeve of Woodward and Dorothy Griffin of Valdosta, Georgia; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

Memorials will be given to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
