An Adel man was arrested June 19 after allegedly smashing nearly a dozen bottles of whisky in the driveway of a Van Meter residence.
Jared Anthony Tornow, 48, of 875 S. 16th St., Adel, was charged with third-degree harassment and fifth-degree criminal mischief.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, June 18, in the 600 block of Elm Street in Van Meter, where Tornow allegedly came to the victim’s residence and threw “around 10 bottles of whisky into his driveway,” according to court records.
The victim told the officers that “the only connection he had with Jared is that Jared used to date his daughter,” according to court records.
Tornow was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to his release on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for a pretrial conference Aug. 3 in Dallas County District Court.
Tornow was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness in April in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of assault June 6 in Polk County District Court.
