Aug. 2, 2023

  • Officers responded to a report of theft in the 500 block of Clearview Drive. The case is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a report of theft in the 1300 block of Otley Avenue. A chain saw was missing.
  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of 18th Street.
  • Bradley Meya Hodges, 32, of 1218 18th St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.
  • A 2021 Ram Tradesman pickup, registered to Cassandra Marie Lafleur of 1819 Fifth St., Perry, and driven by Jefferson Allen LaFleur of 1819 Fifth St., Perry, was pulling a trailer northbound in the 1900 block of First Avenue and attempting to make a wide turn onto Paul Street when his vehicle struck a 2008 Nissan Sentra, registered to and driven by Erick Omar Mendez Morales of 501 Second St., Perry. Mendez Morales’ vehicle then struck a 2015 Nissan, registered to and driven by Josefa Jimenez Vazquez of 5828 S. California Ave., Chicago, that was stopped at the stop sign at First Avenue and Paul Street. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $17,000. Lafleur was issued a citation for improper use of lanes.
  • A 2021 Ford Super Crew pickup, registered to and driven by Justin Kenneth Jacobson of
    1920 First Ave. Perry, collided with a bicycle, operated by Matthew Ahtar of Perry near Ninth and Lucinda streets. No injuries were reported.

August 3, 2023

  • Officers received a report of criminal mischief in the 500 block of Willis Avenue. Damage was estimated at $200.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
