Jeanette Lewis, 73, of Perry passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry.
Jeanette Marie Lewis was born April 5, 1950, at Mountain, N.D., to Elmer Holdorf and Gudrun Marion (Thorlacius) Norgart Sr.
She graduated from Perry High School and then DMACC in Ankeny with a soscial services degree.
Jeanette worked at Perry Lutheran Home for 15 years, the Woodward Resource Center for 10 years and Casey’s General Store in Perry for 25 years.
She loved going to the casino, crocheting and reading.
In death she rejoins her parents, Elmer and Gudrun Norgart; sister, Kathy Creese; and a brother, David Norgart.
Left to cherish Jeanette’s memory are her children, Geneen (Mike) Hilsenbeck of Rippey and Jeffrey (Dawn) Lewis of Perry; grandchildren, Andi Mae Lewis of Texas, Brendon Phelps of Oregon, Skyler Anderson of Rippey, Isabel Lewis of Rippey, Gabriel Hilsenbeck of Rippey and Aidrhianna Lewis of Perry; siblings, Evie Launderville of Ogden, Marie (Jim) Pohl of Perry, Becky Norgart of Perry and Duane (Dawn) Norgart of Guthrie Center.
