- Jeffery Heater, 40, of 311 First Ave. S., Fort Dodge, was arrested for first-degree theft, control of firearm/offensive weapon by domestic abuser, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief and two counts of possession of burglars tools.
Dec. 5, 2023
- Ryan Schmitt, 29, of 201 N. 16th St., Adel, was arrested for OWI and possession or carrying of dangerous weapon while intoxicated nd issued a citation for failure to maintain control and driving on wrong side of two-way highway.
- Emra Oglecevac of Waukee was traveling in the 10000 block of Mills Civic Parkway when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,500.
- Balasubramanian Palaniappan, West Des Moines, was driving in the 31000 block of Ute Ave when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $12,500.
- Benjiman Searl, 40, of 410 W. Market St., Panora, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
Dec. 6, 2023
- Mason Miller of Bondurant was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 112 mile marker when his vehicle struck a vehicle, driven by Spencer Wallin of Wells, Minnesota. No injuries were reported. Damage to Wallin’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500, and damage to Miller’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
- Adam Sweeney of Des Moines was traveling 31000 block of Ute Avenue when the trailer he was pulling came detached from his vehicle and struck a vehicle, driven by Andrew Kail of Booneville, which entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage to Kail’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Sweeney’s trailer was estimated at $3,000. Sweeney was issued a citation for spilling loads on highway.
- Bryan Dougan, 52, of 1202 30th St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for parole violation.
- Zachary Cockerham, 30, of 4213 S.W. Ninth St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for third-degree theft.
- Matthew Stalker, 36, of 4817 Fleur Dr., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
