- Neil O’Sullivan of Adel was traveling on Iowa Highway 44 and stopped to make a left turn on 13th Street in Dallas Center. Alexander Buck of Des Moines was traveling in a vehicle directly behind O’Sullivan’s vehicle, and Todd Drake of Clive was traveling in a vehicle directly behind Buck’s vehicle. Drake’s vehicle struck the rear of Buck’s vehicle, which in turn struck the rear of O’Sullivan’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to O’Sullivan’s vehicle was estimated at $500. Damage to Buck’s vehicle was estimated at $600, and damage to Drake’s vehicle was estimated at $1,200.
- Rachelle Keller of Earlham was traveling in the 35000 block of L Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
