An Arizona woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting her father in his Clive home.

Anne Marie Wells, 55, of 24645 N. 117th St., Scottsdale, Arizona, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident began about 6:45 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Berkshire Parkway in Clive, where officers of the Clive Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

According to court records, Wells first “attempted to assault her mother,” and her father tried to intervene “by grabbing her,” whereupon both Wells “and her father fell to the ground.”

Wells then “swung at her father and scratched the right side of his face, leaving a small laceration on the victim’s chin and neck,” according to court records.

Wells was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 8 in Dallas County District Court.
