Wednesday morning’s garage fire at 2512 Willis Ave. has interrupted the internet connection for all the Perry schools and administration center, the district announced Wednesday.
Rich Nichols, information technology director for the Perry Community School District, said the fire “knocked down the fiber lines” through which the district conducts its digital operations.
“I don’t have a time frame on service restoration but I will keep you posted as I learn more,” Nichols said.

Not just the schools. The hospital and T-Mobile customers in the area as well are all down and out.
I find it interesting that DownDetector.com showed that Des Moines and other areas of the state were not down. I really don’t think the source of the outage was a fire in Perry.
