A West Des Moines woman was arrested early Saturday after she allegedly assaulted a West Des Moines man outside their shared residence.
Elisabeth Catherine Grieshop, 43, of 10775 Johnson Court, West Des Moines, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 2:15 a.m. in the 10700 block of Johnson Court, where Grieshop allegedly “threw a cup” at the victim and struck him, “causing visible marks on the top of his head,” according to court records.
Grieshop is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
