
WAUKEE, Iowa — A Waukee teenager was arrested Monday as a suspect in the stabbing death of a Waukee man.
The incident began about 11:30 a.m. Monday at a residence in the 600 block of S.E. Prairie Park Lane in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing.
The arriving officers and paramedics found Brian McGee, 23, of Waukee with stab wounds sustained during a fight at the residence. McGee was transported to a Des Moines hospital, where he died.
A 16-year-old male from Waukee was arrested in connection with the incident. His identity is being withheld at this time by law enforcement because he is a juvenile.
In a statement, the Waukee Police Department said it is working with the Dallas County
Attorney’s office on filing appropriate charges. There is no danger to other residents of Waukee or to the general public, police said.
