An Adel man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Friday in connection with a May incident in Dallas Center in which he allegedly video recorded a minor putting on her clothes after she emerged naked from the shower.
Michael Scott Forret, 53, of 30721 T Ave., Adel, was charged with invasion of privacy and child endangerment.
The incident occurred May 23 at a residence in 600 block of Percival Street in Dallas Center, where the victim “showered” and “then re-entered her room,” where she “discovered Forret’s phone on a storage shelf within her room,” according to court records.
The victim told Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs that she examined the phone and “saw
that it had recorded her,” and she “watched a portion of the video back, seeing herself naked and putting clothes on,” according to court records.
Forret “did not deny placing his phone in” the victim’s room in order “to record her,” according to court records.
A warrant for Forret’s arrest was ordered Aug. 8 in Dallas County District Court and served Aug. 9. Forret was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $4,000 cash or surety bond.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
