The Circle K stores at 1219 First Ave. and 1115 Iowa Highway 141 in Perry will both close on Friday, employees at the outlets confirmed Sunday.
The workers said they did not know the reason for the quick closures, which they learned about Aug. 6.
TC Fuels LP of Atlanta, Texas, an oil wholesaler, purchased the stores in 2018 from the Des Moines-based Kum & Go company. The outlets sold gasoline under the Phillips 66 brand and operated the convenience stores as Circle Ks.
According to Bloomberg News, TC Fuels LP operates as a multi-branded distributor of fuels. The company, founded in 1959, also operates a fleet of transports and offers its products to marketers and facility operators in the U.S. Convenience stores are also part of the TC Fuels LP portfolio.
Corporate representatives from TC Fuels LP did not return ThePerryNews.com’s calls for comment on the impending closures.
