A Booneville man is scheduled for a hearing Thursday after he allegedly violated the rules for the sex offender registry in May.
Austin Eugene Cole, 26, of 31143 Main St., Booneville, was charged with first-offense sex offender registration violation.
According to court records, Cole moved to Booneville around Aug. 1 but failed to notify the Dallas County Sheriff’s office of his change of address, as required by the rules of the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
Cole is held in the Warren County Jail without bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial conference Aug. 22 in Dallas County District Court.
Cole was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse in 2020 in Warren County District Court.
