
An Adel man faces an assault charge after allegedly inflicting an Adel woman with multiple cuts and bruises in the course of a domestic dispute.
Marvin Ariel Ordonez, 26, of 34015 Old Portland Road, Adel, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault, child endangerment and providing false identification information.
The incident began about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 34000 block of Old Portland Road, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The arriving deputies “observed blood droplets all over the house floor” and “throughout many rooms of the house,” according to court records.
The deputies made contact with the victim and observed on the victim “a laceration to the right side of her face, a scratch mark on the right side of her neck, multiple bruises and defensive wounds on her hands, scratch marks on the back of her neck and a bite mark on her arm,” according to court records.
A 3-year-old child was present at the time of the alleged assault.
In the course of the investigation, Ordonez “refused to provide” law enforcement with his correct date of birth and the correct spelling of his name, according to court records.
Ordonez registered a preliminary breath test result of .187, according to court records.
Ordonez is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 18 in Dallas County District Court.
