The Perry Elks Lodge 407 presented about $3,300 worth of hats, coats and gloves to local Perry youth Friday.
Mary Hillman, longtime director of the Perry Academic and Cultural Enrichment Services (PACES) in the Perry schools, will coordinate distribution of the winter wear to those in need with assistqnce from Elks Travis Landgrebe, Jon Jameson and Shaun Welch.
This is the second year for the Elks’ effort and exceeds last year’s donation of $2,000. The funds are generated through the Elks National Foundation.
