The Perry Ministerial Association has invited the community to join in the annual Blue Christmas service on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church at 1224 Lucinda St. in downtown Perry.
The ministerial association holds the Blue Christmas service each year as a reminder that even in heartache we can find hope, in sorrow we can find grace, and in pain we can find peace.
“In this holiday season, when everything around us is saying, ‘Be merry and bright,’ it can be easy to feel like you are alone in sorrow or heartache,” said a ministerial association spokesperson. “Join us for a candlelight service filled with peace, stillness and hope.”
Any one in need of transportation to the service should call Lou Hoger at 515-570-2970. He will be arranging rides to and from this service.
