Waukee man allegedly assaults Waukee woman Thursday

Ross William Mulcahy, 44, of Waukee was arrested Thursday on a charge of second-offense domestic abuse assault.

A Waukee man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a Waukee woman in or near the home.

Ross William Mulcahy, 44, of 32005 335th St., Waukee, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 2 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 32000 block of 335th Street in Waukee, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that she was taking pictures of her property at the residence when Mulcahy allegedly “came up to her vehicle in a threatening manner” and with “clenched fists” and began “kicking pieces of wood and gravel towards her,” according to court records.

Mulcahy is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Mulcahy was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault in 2021 in Clark County District Court. He was arrested in Osceola in 2020 on a charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct in Clark County District Court. He was arrested in Booneville in 2015 on a charge of assault and pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of assault causing bodily injury in 2008 in Johnson County District Court.
