A Waukee man was arrested Monday after allegedly strangling a Waukee woman in the home.
Robert Allen Beiner, 51, of Waukee was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding flow of air/blood.
The incident began about 5 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 2500 block of Belmont Boulevard, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Beiner allegedly “grabbed the victim by the neck and pulled her back” in the course of a domestic dispute, according to court records.
When the victim “grabbed a kitchen knife” and “called 911,” Beiner allegedly “took the knife from her and held it up to her” and “had her in a choke hold while holding the knife up to her face,” according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “red marks on both sides of her neck,” and they observed on Beiner “a small cut on the back of his head that neither could tell where it came from,” according to court records.
Beiner was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for preliminary hearing March 6 in Dallas County District Court.
