The National Weather Service offices in Johnston have issued a blizzard warning for the Perry area from midnight until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

As much as 4 inches of snow and winds gusting up to 60 mph will reduce visibility to less than one-quarter mile, with slippery road conditions making travel hazardous for the Wednesday morning commute.

destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making turns.
