An Earlham woman was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Thursday in connection with a February incident in which she allegedly assaulted an Earlham minor in the home.
Nevaeh Renee Terrell, 18, of 35109 L Ave., Earlham, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident occurred Feb. 26 at a residence in the 35100 block of L Avenue, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that Terrell allegedly “threw a candle at her and assaulted her,” according to court records.
Video evidence indicated Terrell was “the primary physical aggressor” in the incident, according to court records.
A warrant for Terrell’s arrest was ordered Feb. 27 in Dallas County District Court and served Thursday. Terrell is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 14 in Dallas County District Court.
