DALLAS CENTER, Iowa — The Dallas County Foundation (DCF) distributed $200,000 in its 2025 grant cycle in ceremonies held Tuesday in the Dallas Center Public Library.
The foundation received 56 grant applications for a total ask of $471,617.47, and 36 projects received funding, with $51,500 coming from the from Grow Greene County casino revenues and $148,500 from Dallas County Foundation casino revenues.
DCF grant winners for 2025 were:
- City of Adel/Adel Public Library: mobile technology lab, $5,000
- Adel Kiwanis Club: Kiwanis casino trailer, $1,400
- City of Adel: event safety barricades, $5,000
- ADM Fine Arts Boosters: ADM Middle School drumline equipment, $4,800
- Adel Tiger Wrestling Club: wrestling mat, $8,000
- Brenton Arboretum: classroom table top replacement, $4,500
- City of Bouton: trailhead welcome sign, $9,000
- Friends of Dallas Center Fire and Rescue: Knox Box program, $8,000
- Overlooked Cat Refuge: trap, neuter and release traps and accessories, $1,500
- Raccoon Valley Youth Football: uniforms, $6,000
- City of Granger Park and Rec: batting cage build, $5,000
- Granger American Legion Post 717: remodel phase III, $10,000
- Minburn United Methodist Church: new elevator lift, $8,000
- Minburn Betterment: global roots mosaic mural, $3,800
- Minburn Firefighters Association: firefighter bunker gear, $10,000
- Washington Township School Foundation: tuckpointing north face of building, $10,000
- Everybody Wins Inc.: Power Reading program/Perry and Maple Grove elementary, $1,000
- Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church: Sleep Space, $4,000
- Perry Rotary Club: phase II Wiese Park inclusive playground, $15,000

- Fullhart/Carnegie Trust-Hometown Heritage: Wall of Witness 2025 sculpture, relief, $1,000

- WCV School District: elementary sensory classroom, $1,400
- City of Waukee: fitness court at Ridge Pointe, $10,000
- Woodward Friends and Neighbors: shed to store supplies for activities/events, $2,850
Since its founding in 2005, the DCF has granted more than $1,565,000.
