Nicole Michele Suter, 56, of Dawson was arrested Monday and again Saturday on a charge of first-offense OWI.

A Dawson woman was arrested in Perry Saturday for OWI, five days after a prior arrest for OWI in Perry.

Nicole Michele Suter, 56, of 302 E. Fourth St., Dawson, was charged with first-offense OWI.

The incident began about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on 130th Street in Perry, where a patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department observed a vehicle “drive off into the grass from the roadway,” according to court records.

The officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle, Suter, and perceived “an odor
of an alcoholic beverage resonating from inside the truck,” according to court records. Suter also allegedly presented with “bloodshot, watery eyes” and “slurred speech.”

Suter was allegedly too intoxicated to perform field sobriety tests, according to court records.

Suter is held in the Dallas County Jail on an $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 14 in Dallas County District Court.

Suter was arrested in Perry about 11:45 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of First Avenue on a charge of first-offense OWI after her performance of field sobriety tests “gave several clues of impairment,” according to court records. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 8 in Dallas County District Court.
