May 9, 2025
- Logan Klein of Des Moines was traveling in the 14000 block of S Avenue when his vehicle entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,000. Klein was issued a citation for no valid license.
- Eric Vortes, 43, of 6516 Chaffee Road, Des Moines, was arrested on two counts of violation of a no-contact order.
May 10, 2025
- Abigail Johnston of Indianola was traveling in the 23000 block of A Avenue when her vehicle entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $15,000, and damage to the fence line was was estimated at $450.
- Patricia Merriman of Sioux Falls, S.D., was traveling in the 34000 block of L Avenue when her vehicle entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
- Nyakuoth Lam, 49, of 7800 Iltis Dr., Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- Peyton Wilcox-Thomas, 24, of 1603 Maple St., Dallas Center, was arrested for OWI.
May 11, 2025
- Kyler Hatch, 18, of 3443 N.W. 168th St., Clive, was arrested for OWI and issued a citation for speeding and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
