Blond Bugera, 32, of Urbandale was arrested Wednesday on charges of domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury and child endangerment.

An Urbandale man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly strangling an Urbandale woman and lacerating her head with a vase.

Blond Bugera, 32, of 5415 146th St., Urbandale, was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury and child endangerment.

The incident began about 9 p.m. at a residence in the 5400 block of 146th Street, where officers of the Urbandale Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the adult victim, who told the officers “that she had been struck in the head by a vase that was thrown at her by” Bugera, according to court records.

The officers observed on the victim “a cut on her face between her left eyebrow and temple, with blood running down her face to her jaw line,” and “a bruise and red mark around her neck,” according to court records.

A witness to the alleged assault told the officers that she saw Bugera “grab” the victim “with his right hand across the center of her throat and push her” and that the victim “was wheezing and sounded like she was struggling to breath,” according to court records.

The victim’s 1-year-old child was with the victim when Bugera allegedly threw the vase at them.

Bugera is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 2 in Dallas County District Court.
