A Dexter woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly assaulted a Dexter man in the home.
Holly Ann Russell, 40, of 322 Barton St., Dexter, was charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 300 block of Barton Street, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Russell allegedly assaulted him “by slapping him across the face,” according to court records.
The deputies observed the victim’s face to be “reddened in color on or near his left cheek,” according to court records.
Russell is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 27 in Dallas County District Court.
