A West Des Moines man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Thursday in connection with an incident earlier this month in which he allegedly threatened a Waukee woman with a drive-by shooting.
Shardrack Sha Kamara, 23, of 663 91st St., West Des Moines, was charged with first-degree harassment and violation of a no-contact order.
The incident began June 1 about 2:45 a.m. at a residence in the 10 block of N.W. Alderleaf Drive in Waukee.
According to court records, Kamara allegedly telephoned the victim some 30 times in about 30 minutes.
On one call, Kamara allegedly threatened “have people come over and air the place out,” by which he was allegedly “alluding to a drive-by shooting” at the victim’s residence, according to court records.
A warrant for Kamara’s arrest was ordered June 2 in Dallas County District Court and served Thursday. Kamara is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 30 in Dallas County District Court.
Kamara was convicted June 2 of disorderly conduct in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of reckless use of a firearm and possession or carrying of dangerous weapons while under the influence in 2023 in Polk County District Court.
