Linden woman arrested after allegedly slapping Linden man

Brooklynn Anne Epley, 20, of Linden was arrested Wednesday on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.

A Linden woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly assaulting a Linden man in the home.

Brooklynn Anne Epley, 20, of 105 N. School St., Linden, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in a residence in the 23100 block of V Avenue in rural Dallas Center, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that during the course of a domestic dispute, Epley allegedly “slapped him across the face with an open hand,” according to court records.

Epley is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference Aug. 13in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
