Jolene Ann (Hunt) Welder, 81, of Bagley passed away on Aug. 4, 2025.
She was born the eighth child to Earl and Cecilia (Sheehy) Hunt on Dec. 10, 1943, in Perry, Iowa.
Jolene attended Perry High School, where she met and married Edward J. Welder on April 15, 1960. The couple had two sons, John (Dorothy) Welder of Perry and Billy Welder of Cooper.
Jolene spent her early years as a homemaker to her husband and two sons in Herndon. Upon her sons graduating from high school, Jolene became a certified nursing assistant (CNA), working first at the Perry Lutheran Home and later, as a certified medication technician, at Rowley Masonic Home in Perry, where she worked until retiring in 2008.
Jolene is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Welder; parents, Earl and Cecilia Hunt; five sisters, Anora Briatan, Trecile Miner, Helen Seibert, Dorthy Clifton and Florance Salisbury; and two brothers, Keith Hunt and Edward Hunt.
She is survived by her sons, John (Dorothy) Welder of Perry and Billy Welder of Cooper; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at Richland Township Cemetery in rural Guthrie County at a later date.
