Aug. 23, 2025
- Madlene Pierce of Perry was traveling on Hatton Avenue in Dallas Center when her vehicle collided with a legally parked vehicle, owned by Debra Bricker of Adel. No injuries were reported. Damage to Bricker’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Pierce’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000. Pierce was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
Aug. 25, 2025
- Steven Greene, 37, of 1526 21st St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- Chanon Opstvedt, 39, of 1220 S.E. Corby Way, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- Jose Sanchez of Ogden was traveling southbound on N Avenue near Fairgrounds Road when his vehicle stuck debris in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
- Stephone Casey, 42, of 1460 S.E. Bishop Dr., Waukee, was arrested for driving while revoked.
- Gideon Corbett, 33, of 204 N. First St., Greenfield, was arrested for controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, dominion control of a firearm by a felon, person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued citations for driving while suspended, no insurance, no registration, dark windows, windshield and window requirements and operating a non-registered vehicle.

- Tasneem Abdulrahman, 22, of 755 S.E. Gateway Dr., Grimes, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of using a juvenile to commit an indictable offense and fourth-degree theft.
- Allen Hoskinson of Dallas Center was traveling in the 32000 block of 240th Street when his vehicle with a vehicle, driven by Nicholas Mikesell of Grimes. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hoskinson’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to Mikesell’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Mikesell was issued a citation for no insurance, failure to stop in assured clear distance and leaving the scene of an accident.
