Van Meter woman allegedly assaults Van Meter woman in home

Bridget Denis Jordan, 53, of Van Meter was arrested Wednesday on a charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness. 

A Van Meter woman was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Wednesday in connection with an Aug. 26 incident in which she allegedly assaulted a Van Meter woman in the home.

Bridget Denis Jordan, 53, of 520 Lynnwood Lane, Van Meter, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Aug. 26 at a residence in the 500 block of Lynnwood Lane, according to court records, where Jordan allegedly “grabbed” the victim “by her hair and began hitting and scratching her.”

Officers of the Van Mater Police Department observed “obvious scratches, red marks and bruising on the victim’s face, chest and arms,” according to court records.

A warrant for Jordan’s arrest was ordered Aug. 30 in Dallas County District Court and served Sept. 3. Jordan was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 15 in Dallas County District Court.
