Lola Florea, 38, of Perry was arrested Monday on charges of first-offense domestic abuse assault, third-degree harassment and fifth-degree criminal mischief.

A Perry woman faces assault and harassment charges after allegedly kicking in a bathroom door in the course of a domestic dispute Monday.

Lola Florea, 38, of 1402 Willis Ave., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault, third-degree harassment and fifth-degree criminal mischief.

The incident began about 5:30 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 1400 block of Willis Avenue, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Florea allegedly “forced entry into the bathroom of the apartment with the victim still in it by kicking the door,” according to court records.

The officers deemed Florea’s action of breaking the door and damaging the frame were “intended to cause fear of pain or injury” by “placing the victim in fear of immediate physical contact,” according to court records.

Florea is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference Oct. 29 in Dallas County District Court.
