- Brandon Deweerd, 42, of 261 S.W. Booth Ave., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
Oct. 8, 2025
- Bernadine Smith of Woodward was traveling in the 26000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
Oct. 9, 2026
- Dumitru Batrinac of Mobile, Alabama, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 113 mile marker when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Glenn Hankins of Oxford. No injuries were reported. Damage to Batrinac’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to Hankins’ vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Hankins was issued a citation for no insurance.
