A Woodward-Granger student-athlete was Life-Flighted to a Des Moines hospital Wednesday after suffering an acute medical emergency during boys’ basketball practice.
The following statement was posted Wednesday evening on the Woodward-Granger Community School District Facebook page.
“Please say an extra prayer this evening as one of our own Woodward-Granger HS students was severely injured during a varsity basketball practice this evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this student and his family (whose name will be kept private out of respect for the family). A special thank you to our Coaches, Woodward First Responders, Dallas County Paramedics and the Knoxville Life-flight team for attending to this young man.”
