WOODWARD — A new district will bring new foes across the line of scrimmage for the Woodward-Granger gridders the next two seasons.
W-G, now in Class 1A District 5, will open with two non-district contests before playing their seven D5 opponents. A visit to Madrid Aug. 26 opens the slate, with Van Meter coming to Woodward Sept. 2.
District play begins with W-G the visitor against Woodward Academy Sept. 9, with Central Decatur to visit W-G Sept. 16 before Hawks travel to Interstate-35 Sept. 23.
Des Moines Christian comes to Woodward Sept. 30, with W-G at Mt. Ayr, Oct. 7, hosting Pleasantville Oct. 14 and traveling to Pella Christian Oct. 21.
