August 22, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint of a rooster crowing at 425 N. First St. The officer advised the resident at that address to get rid of the rooster immediately.
  • Jon Fisher of 514 E. Oak St. reported an unknown dog running at large attacked his cat. The cat was taken to the veterinarian and euthanized.

August 23, 2016

  • An officer received a report of a male subject in a maroon van parked in driveway of Northern Natural Pump Station at 801 N.W. Eighth St. who appeared to be taking pictures of the station. The subject was gone upon officer’s arrival.
  • An officer received a report of a dog left in a vehicle that was not running and the windows were rolled up. The officer located the owner of vehicle and dog at a local business and had him tie the dog up outside in the shade if he was going to be much longer.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a suicidal male in the 300 block of F Avenue.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden Volunteer Fire Department with a fire alarm at Ogden High School. This was determined to be a faulty detector.

August 24, 2016

  • An officer investigated a possible fight at 620 W. Walnut St., #1. No one at the scene wanted to file charges. The officer asked four subjects to leave town.
  • An officer assisted a subject with a domestic situation.
  • An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 100 block of E. Locust Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a possible missing child at 213 N.E. Second St. The child was located and returned home.

August 25, 2016

  • An officer responded to Casey’s for a suspicious female needing medical help.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders at 307 S.W. Second St.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a reckless driver on U.S. Highway 169. The officer was not able to locate the vehicle.
  • An officer assisted a subject with a civil matter at 513 N.W. Seventh St., #2.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of threats being made against someone.
  • An officer investigated suspicious activity.
  • An officer investigated suspicious activity.

August 26, 2016

  • An officer assisted a subject at 401 E. Walnut St. who needed help getting upright.
  • An employee with the Boone-Area Humane Society picked up a Shit Tzu dog running at large near First and Walnut streets. The dog will be taken to the Humane Society Saturday morning.
  • An officer received a complaint of suspicious activity inside a silver van near the Spinning Wheels Skating Rink. The van was gone upon the officer’s arrival.

August 27, 2016

  • An officer received a request from a subject teaching an ABATE motorcycle rider education program to move two vehicles from the parking lot at the Ogden High School because they were parked in the area for the riding portion of the class.
  • An officer was asked to look for a Penske straight truck that entered Ogden from the south on H Avenue. The truck was reported making bad passes. The officer located the truck and spoke with the driver, who denied any improper driving.
  • An officer was asked to check on a stranded motorist in the 600 block of westbound 220th Street. The motorist had help on scene upon the officer’s arrival.
  • An officer was asked to look for a vehicle that left the south side Casey’s in Boone without paying for gasoline. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 600 block of S. First Street. The subject returned to Boone and paid for the gasoline.

August 28, 2016

  • No reported activity.
