Panorama netters play in Perry Invitational

PERRY — Panorama played in the Perry Invitational Thursday, with the Panther volleyballers upended in each of their three matches.

Play opened for Panorama (0-8) against host Perry, who scored a 2-0 victory behind scores of 21-13 and 21-10. West Central Conference foe Earlham (the match does not count as a conference meeting) was next on the docket, with the Cardinals winning 2-0 after posting scores of 23-21 and 21-8. The final match pitted Panorama against CMB, who scored a 2-0 win on finals of 21-9 and 21-16.

Morgan Johnk had a combined six kills at the invite for the Panthers, as did Faith Powell. Nicole Rolfes finished with four kills, with Christin Koch, Hannah Woodworth and Brooke Halterman adding two kills apiece while Hope Wilderman provided one kill.

Adrienne Powell provided 16 assists and Kennedy Kuta four, with Koch recording three assists and Johnk one.

Rolfes and had digs and Faith Powell nine, with Olivia Richer tallying six digs, Adrienne Powell and Halterman four apiece, Woodworth three and Kuta two. Halterman, Johnk and Kock had three blocks apiece, Rolfes two and Wilderman one.

Adrienne Powell was 14-of-17 with two aces, and Faith Powell 8-of-12 with one, with Richer 10-14-1. Woodworth was 15-of-19, Rolfes 6-of-10 and Kuta 6-of-7 behind the line.

The Panthers are off this week and will return to action Sept. 20 with a WCC match at West Central Valley.
