Panorama netters finish 1-2 at tournament

DES MOINES — The Panorama volleyball team participated in the Saydel tournament Monday and finished with a win against two losses.

The Panthers were 1-3 at the Southwest Valley Invitational Saturday, but full statistics have yet to be provided. Panorama defeated CAM, 2-0, for their first win of the season before falling to Southwest Valley, 2-1, and to both Audubon and Lenox by 2-0 finals. Monday’s action saw Panorama top Des Moines North, 21-11 and 21-11, but fall to North Polk 21-7 and 21-6 and West Central Valley, 21-23, 21-16 and 15-10.

Nicole Rolfes had seven combined kills Monday, with Brooke Halterman and Morgan Johnk adding five kills apiece, with Christin Koch and Hope Wilderman making three each, Faith Powell two and Adrienne Powell and Olivia Richey one each.

Kennedy Kuta and Adrienne Powell had 11 assists peach, with Koch making two assists and Halterman one. Faith Powell, Rolfes, Woodworth, and Mathison Twigg all had three digs apiece, with Kuta making two and Adrienne Powell one.

Rolfes finished 26-of-28 serving with nine aces, with Woodworth 16-17-2, Adrienne Powell 13-15-3 and Faith Powell 8-10-2. Halterman was 4-9-1 behind the line, Koch 8-13-1, Wilderman 4-of-5 and Twigg 2-of-2.

Panorama returns to action Tuesday when Class 2A No. 9 Woodward-Granger visits.
