PANORA — The Panorama football team will entertain Northwest Webster Friday in a Class 1A District 6 contest. Homecoming festivities have continued this week, with a 7 p.m. rally tonight (Wednesday) serving as coronation for the king and queen.
Sky Larson, Savana Mobley, Mallorie Pittman, Maggie Smith and Mathison Twigg are the queen candidates, with the king to be chosen from among George Appleseth, Will Babcock, Victor Barasso, Peyton Parker and Tyler VanHouten. The coronation and rally will be held in the Panorama Senior High auditorium.
A pep rally and Powder Puff football game will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Panther Field. The senior/sophomore girls will battle the junior/freshmen girls for bragging rights.
Another part of the Homecoming tradition will be the arrival of the game ball, which will have been run from NW Webster High School in Manson to Panora, a journey, depending upon route, of slightly more than 70 miles. The Panorama cross country team, running in pairs of one boy and one girl and covering a few miles per group, will transport the ball to Panther field and make a presentation just before kickoff.
