The Perry Firefighters Association was been busily preparing a host of new terrors for their Haunted Barn, which reopens Friday at 7 p.m.
Located at First and Willis near Caboose Park in the Perry Open Market Building (commonly knows as the Farmer’s Market Building) the Haunted Barn will be open for daring souls from 7-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday Oct. 14-15, 21-22 and 29-29. Admission is $5 — startles and screams are included for free.
The PFA built new portable walls off site and has spent several hours recently installing the construction for a new path through the eerie darkness. New characters, new sites and frights and new moments of horror have been dastardly arranged.
Reports of high-pitched screaming, bellows of surprise and numerous rashes of goose flesh at the 2015 Haunted Barn have been confirmed, as have stories of smiles, laughter and happy hugs after intrepid adventurers stepped back into the real world.
Visitors from as far away as Hampton are known to have imperiled themselves at the Haunted Barn last October, with courageous citizens from a wide area around Perry all making the trip to house of horrors because, as everyone knows, a good scare now and then is good for the circulation.
Parking, like spikes in visitor’s heart rates, will be provided free of charge.
I hope they have a great season! I’ve had them listed on my site the past few years, but it’s been difficult to find any details about it. Thanks for the article.
