Three local preschools will be combining their literacy efforts for a Chili Feed and Read evening next week.
The St. Patrick’s Catholic School gym will serve as site for the Oct. 20 gathering, which will begin at 5 p.m. From 6-7 p.m. parents and others will be invited to spend time reading to, and with, their children. The program is part of the Family Night efforts of the Perry Elementary Schools, which seeks to promote the increased involvement of parents in the education of their children.
