- Jared Trevor Wright, 20, of 1647 Batavia Road, Batavia, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of operating a vehicle without owner’s consent.
October 26, 2016
- Todd Johnston of Linden was traveling in the 27000 block of N Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. Both front and driver’s side airbags deployed. Both were examined by Dallas County EMS. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
- Wyatt Funcke of Jamaica was traveling in the 26000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when he was forced onto the gravel shoulder by a vehicle traveling parallel to Funcke. Funcke went through the median, across the other lanes, through the south ditch and into a field striking, several small trees. The other vehicle did not stop and its operator is unknown. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $7,000.
